A few words about Aleksandr Gerchik. He is one of the most popular traders in the post-Soviet space. He had a chance to work on Wall Street in the United States and at FINAM Investment Company in Russia where he was engaged in the system of trust management. Gerchik also taught courses for beginners in the financial markets.
Although the company is not licensed by the Central Bank of Russia, a current regulator of the forex industry in the country, the broker continues to operate in Russia. This is possible because the company is registered in the offshore area of Belize and regulated by the International Financial Services Commission (IFSC/60/400/TS/17). Belize is a popular offshore direction for forex brokers where the control is not as strict as in Great Britain or Australia, for example. So we recommend traders to be careful in investing in offshore companies.
Gerchik & Co offers five types of active trading accounts: Mini, Simple, Silver, Gold, and Platinum. Algorithmic trading, a leverage of up to 1:100, as well as services of risk management are accessible on all of them. On Mini account, minimum deposit starts with $500. This is not the most favorable offer in the industry, since brokers offer $100 on the average, but you can as well find an offer of $1.
The largest leverage is 1:100, this is also not the most tempting offer among brokers which provide a leverage of 1:500. A large leverage leads to big risks.
Since Gerchik & Co works on the STP technology, that is, with direct access to liquidity providers, the offered spreads are not so great – 0.2 pips on EUR/USD. Nevertheless, a commission is charged for 1 lot in the amount of $7 to $10 (depending on the account type). A trader should keep it in mind.
Like most forex brokers, Gerchik & Co provides customers with MetaTrader4 as a trading platform in versions for desktop computers, web browsers, and mobile devices.
Since its inception, more than 10 years ago, MT4 has been enjoying great popularity. It is user-friendly and supports trading not only currencies, but also other assets such as commodities and indices. MT4 provides a range of technical, analytical and graphical instruments, experts, and other options.
All accounts give access to educational seminars and webinars, educational materials, which are freely available on the website. You can buy a training course on the personal page of A. Gerchik. Clients can also practise trading on a demo account.
Gerchik & Co offers several interesting services. In addition, almost all of them are the company’s own development.
TIMA (Trusted Investments Management Account) is the managed accounts for investors and managers, a sort of a competitor of PAMM accounts. The central principle of the work and the target of TIMA and PAMM are identical. But TIMA provides strict risk management.
On PAMM accounts, using the wrong tactics, investors can lose up to 100% of the invested funds within 5 minutes. In the TIMA system, a user can manage risks he/she accepts – for example, not more than 5% of loss per month, 15% per quarter, 30% per year.
Gerchik & Co holds contests for traders, the results of which you can find in the archive.
